Ep 202: Just Be Who And What You Are

from The Jim Fortin Podcast · host Jim Fortin

Start Your Transformation Now Have you ever wondered why it’s so hard to be who and what you are in front of others?  What are you so afraid of?  Who are you so afraid of?  Right now I’m afraid that I’m going to be judged for my last two dangling participles but who cares. Grammar nitpickers are going to hate, right?  Candidly, it’s easy to be who you are but it’s the fear that you’re going to be judged that stops you. And, for many, that fear is debilitating.  As well, for those who do live their lives on their own terms and from their own values, they have essentially liberated themselves from the enslavement of others.  In this episode, I talk about something that happened to me nearly 30 years ago that set me free of the judgment of pleasing others, trying to be liked, and looking for approval from others.  When we get to that place in our lives…that is true freedom.  This episode is a very personal one and hopefully it can help others free themselves from the suffocation of trying to gain the love and approval of others.
