Ep.207 - "We Put Ourselves First" W/ Apex Zero

This is one of the longest interviews I have done and for good reason. A week & change before this recording, Apex Zero was in the centre of an amazing proof of concept day of exhibition & immersive performance with "Drummer Warrior Storyteller", a multi-format project that was five years in the making and is only the beginning.

I was invited to the day of note at Rich Mix in the heart of Shoreditch to look at the exhibition which featured photography, painting, visuals, fashion & even blacksmithing that provided a prelude for a performance that contained rap/spoken word, dance, ritual and drumming.

With all that said, I spoke to Apex Zero about all of the above; but also his beginnings, his battles, travels, past projects and - of course - his Top 5.
