In today's episode, I sit down with Chris Masterjohn. Chris has a PhD in nutritional sciences with the concentration in biochemical and molecular nutrition, from the University of Connecticut. He writes a blog called "The Daily Lipid" and as a frequent contributor on the Weston A. Price foundation's blog. Chris is one of the foremost experts on the topic of Cholesterol and it's relationships to heart disease. In this episode, we discuss the history of the cholesterol / heart disease connection; misconceptions about diet versus lipid hypothesis, some of the dietary pitfalls experienced by vegans and vegetarians, and how you can overcome them by eating the right types of quality meats.
