In this show, I spoke with my friend Romulo. Romulo and I met at the Amazonian plant-medicine center The Temple of the Way of Light, where we ran ceremonies together. Romulo comes from a lineage of Shipibo plant doctors or curanderos. He is one of the most dedicated doctors I have met and really spends a great deal of time and care on the patients he works with. He is also quite young for a doctor and I think he is one of the harbingers of a new generation of Shipibo doctors. He has a beautiful ability to share and express complex ideas simply.
