Ep. 21—PIXAR JOURNEY (part 3): Let’s get introspective!!
from The WAYWA Podcast Hosted by The WAYWA Podcast
Part 3 of our Pixar Journey is here! This week, the guys discuss what they call the “Surprise-Introspective” phase of the franchise, with some films proving to be unexpected gems while others just had head-scratching differences from the rest. One thing is for sure: This one has us in our feels (Looking at you, Inside Out). Brave, Monsters University, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory and Cars 3 show Pixar crossing into brand-new territory. But does the magic carry over to Cars 3, which has the task of salvaging a car-wreck if a franchise? You’ll have to listen to find out! Then, Ben takes this episode’s WAYWA to do a Ben thing: Talk about something way after everyone else has already seen it. But we don’t mind, because 2019 Best Picture Parasite is always worth talking about. Episode highlights: 2:30-Brave 9:30-Monsters University 15:20-Inside Out 24:30-The Good Dinosaur 30:15-Finding Dory 37:40-Cars 3 45:40-WAYWA (Parasite)
