Hello everyone, this is the Daily Unpacking Episode 21. That's pretty cool. Yeah, it's pretty cool. 21.
21. I like that we are seriously... I wonder how many percent? I don't know what I'm trying to say.
What I'm trying to say is, it's pretty cool that we've done this for 21 episodes. Yeah, super cool. We're gonna make a hundo of these things. Yes, many hundos.
At least five hundos. Several hundos. What have we done today? We woke up, Kayla was feeling a little bit icky this morning also.
Yeah, it took a couple hours after I woke up before I felt like I was me again. And then we took a cold shower together. And then you started feeling better after the shower. And that's when you said, I'm so happy that I feel better again.
And that's when I understood that we were officially done with the puking and the vomiting and the feeling bad. Yeah, that was terrible. And then we did some stretching and meditating. That was really nice for the mind.
And then we went out for lunch. We did, we did go have a good lunch. I had a margarita pizza. And I had a tempeh and tofu curry sauce, whatever it was.
It was okay. But we're feeling better. I'm feeling optimistic. We're excited.
Did we tell them yesterday that we bought tickets to Thailand? Oh, we didn't. We bought tickets to Thailand today. Oh, we bought tickets to Thailand today.
So, June 8th, we are leaving on a plane at 1:35 a.m. in the morning. Because it's the cheapest we could find to fly to Bang My Cock in Thailand. Bangkok in Thailand, DMK.
Oh, really? I thought it was Bang My Cock. No, it's not Bang My Cock. Oh, it's Bang Your Cock.
Yeah, we can call it Bang My Cock. So we're flying to Bang My Cock, Thailand on June 8th. And then we're going to take a 10-hour bus ride. Because it's the cheapest way to get to Chiang Mai, which is our goal destination.
I think people got us figured out now. Like, we do things because it's the cheapest. It'll cost us $36 total for a 10-hour bus ride. That includes lunch and snacks and free water on the bus.
So, super. We paid a total of $203 for the plane tickets. That shortens our trip for about three weeks. But we actually almost have made up that money.
Well, we actually have made up that money. Yeah, I think you and Cheryl, my Aunt Cheryl, just donated to our GoFundMe campaign. That's super awesome. We're so, so thankful.
Yeah, she donated a lot. So we really, really appreciate you, Aunt Cheryl. Yeah, thank you, Aunt Cheryl. Thank you, Aunt Cheryl.
What else did we do today? And then we came back here. Edited a video. We edited it.
Well, actually, let's rephrase that. I edited a video. He edited a video. We made some thumbnails, and we posted the video.
This is the video of when Kayla got... Oh, actually, it's the video of our first move. Yeah, to our next hostel. Yep.
It's called Selesekuta. It's the same day that Kayla got her BTS tattoo. Which I think is almost healed. Yeah, it looks like it.
You think so? Yeah. Oh, yeah, definitely. It's almost healed?
Yeah. Just a few spots left, I feel. Yeah, it's been like, you know, 10 days now, so. And then we edited a video, and then we went out to dinner.
We went for a long walk, actually. We went back to the regular vegan place that we love so much. We walked around a couple places to find anything else since the vegan place is a little bit of a far walk. But we ended up walking there.
And they're actually moving places, because we were wondering why they didn't have a bigger location. It was always so many people there packed when we were there. And when we got there today, there were so many things that were put down from the wall, and we asked them what was up. And then they said that they had a new location that we're going to move to that obviously is bigger.
Because lots of people enjoyed the... It's a vegan buffet for $3.50 a person. And it's the cheapest, best food that we've had here. It's so good.
It's so healthy. And one of the few things that is an advantage in that place that I can't get anywhere else, and that's I can eat as much as I want. Other meals, usually in any other restaurants, they're so small, you know? And I eat one meal and I'm roaming around trying to look for more food.
So luckily, at that place, I can eat as much as I want and don't have to spend more money on more food. And then on our walk back, even though we're on such a low budget, we had a little bit of money left over from our daily budget today because we ate well that we had money saved. And we like to give back to the community here and the people here. And there's lots of homeless women on the side of the road with their infant babies or their children.
And they're asking for money or for food when you walk by. And it's really hard. It's heartbreaking, actually, to see them and not have the money to give them because we don't really have the money to spare. So we ended up walking to the grocery store and buying six bottles of water.
Six bottles of water. And on our walk back to our hotel, we gave out all six waters. All waters a bottle. All six bottles of water to different homeless families.
And I have this memory that I'll never forget when I handed the bottle of water to the woman with two children. And before I'd even left my hand into the woman's hand, her oldest son ripped it out of her hand and opened it to start drinking it because he must have wanted water so bad. He dropped whatever he was doing and went to go grab it. And that was an image I'll never forget.
That was really special. So even though it cost us the rest of our daily budget, it was a great feeling to be able to do that. It's worth it. It's worth it.
Giving without expecting anything in return is a feeling that you can't replace with anything. Right. So that was absolutely great. And then we walked back home and then we viewed some YouTube videos, slacked off a little bit.
No, we finished everything at the end of the day. We finished uploading it and you made some editing changes. Yeah, you're right. Uploaded the video once you drink.
You FaceTimed with mama. FaceTimed with my mom. Yeah, she's a cute lady. She's a really cute lady.
She's doing good. Every time she says she's good, I don't always believe her because she says, yeah, yeah, I'm good. Yeah, I'm good. And it's not like, yeah, you know, it's different.
Yeah, it's body language. And, you know, I wish I could do more for them. But one day I will. She's just tired, you know.
sick and tired of her same job, 16, 17 years now. Must be tiring. I would be too. Yeah.
How do you feel, Kayla? I feel good. I feel happy. I feel much better than I did last night.
I feel excited for being, feeling alive again. And we have, after tonight, we'll have four more nights here. So we've got a little bit of time to explore Ubud. And I'm excited to go to Chiang Mai.
I'm excited to fly to Thailand. I feel good. I feel happy. I feel motivated.
And to keep working on our videos and keep working on our stuff. Me too. So tomorrow we want to go to the rice terrace. Yeah, I didn't do any research on that.
Okay. So maybe we want to just work tomorrow then. Or we could go like to the markets and take pictures. Yeah, we could do that.
It would be really cool with all the colors in there. That'd take cool shots. Let's do that tomorrow. Cool.
We can still do research on the rice fields. I can still get that planned for tomorrow. I think we'll have to either get Gojeks or rent a scooter. Yeah, we can, or bikes.
Maybe you want to rent bikes and bike up there. That'll be cool. That'll be good for our backs. That'd be great for our bodies.
Probably cheaper. Good for the environment. Yeah, we'll look into that. Yeah.
So you never know what you're going to hear from us tomorrow. Thank you for listening, everyone. We still appreciate you tuning in every day. Yeah.
Or when you get the chance. I feel great too. I'm sorry, how do you feel, Lucas? I feel good.
I feel happier. I feel more thankful. I feel, after meditating at least, I feel more aware, actually. I feel like I become more aware of my feelings and my thoughts that I don't want to have.
And that I just acknowledge them for what they are and then I move on. So I feel good. I feel better and better. And I haven't had a temper tantrum in a while, so that's good.
Yeah, knock on wood. You never know with this brain of mine. But for those of you that don't know, I have ADHD or ADD. No doctor has ever told me that I have it, but I don't need a doctor to tell me because the information is free on the internet and I resonate with everything that has to do with ADHD.
And I have for my entire life. There's so many things in my life that make sense because I
