Ep. 212 | Ryland Engelhart - Pathways to Regeneration | R-Future 2026

from A Regenerative Future with Matt Powers · host Matt Powers

Ryland Engelhart is co-founder & chief mission officer of Kiss the Ground and he's also been behind the scenes working hard to get regenerative solutions into places that normally would love to ignore natural solutions, BUT he is a charmer - his earnest love for life and others reaches people from all walks of life. I deeply appreciate the work he is doing - it is for many folks impossible to fathom dealing with the folks in DC. I appreciate his story and perspective on MAHA and his work to include regenerative agriculture and health in this space. This is a conversation we had for R-Future 2026, but I felt like it was important for this message to get out to a broader audience, so I'm sharing it here. I've known Ryan for many years - I did an event with Kiss the Ground that essentially acted out my book the 5 Steps to Regenerative Lifestyle with 5 different speakers in 2018 - I did this again with different speakers at Golden Coast Mead later that summer. Please remember this is about health: clean food, clean water, clean air, healthy soils, and real medicine not the current moneymaking machines disguised as that, so please leave the politics out of it and know that I believe in us - our communities online and locally - we are the force that will make the changes needed for a regenerative future to happen and I know we can do it. It has to be grassroots to be lasting, but in the end we also have to protect those grassroots movements from things like when they outlawed biodiesel and killed an entire incredible industry, bans on rainwater-harvesting or gardening, etc., so we need to protect by sharing the will of the people loud and clear so we can protect the progress we innovate as a community, so I feel like I can stand in the grassroots space and lift my end, and I thank Ryan for standing in many places including spaces I do not go and lifting us all higher so we all can have more "room" to grow regeneratively.
