On Monday, I recorded a beautiful conversation with a guest, only to have the entire recording lost when my computer ran out of disk space. Then, just a day later, I had surgery—and because of the intubation, I lost my voice. Rather than waiting until things felt polished and back to normal, I decided to show up as I am: softer, tender, and imperfect.In this solo reflection, I share about the importance of self-love and compassion during life’s messier seasons. Vulnerability is often misunderstood as weakness, but in truth, it is the essence of authenticity.
