Ep. 22: Imprint (Masters of Horror) and Visitor Q

from Filmed Obscura · host Justin Adkins & Chris Herdter

Oh it's a Takashi Miike double header this month and Justin finally BROUGHT IT.  Welcome back to Filmed Obscura.  Chris and Justin brought some variety to this party.  Reverting back to the old ways a bit, they discuss two films by the famous (or infamous), renowned and perhaps dangerous Takashi Miike.  First up is his banned episode of Showtime's Masters of Horror series dealing with many difficult topics including incest, molestation, spousal abuse, abortion and talking hands with teeth.  Oh yes...Imprint.  Now if that isn't enough, they venture into the deeper pantheon of Miike films and casually discuss the craziness that is Visitor Q.  More incest, more spousal abuse, more necrophilia!  Justin finally brought a movie that made Chris go "Oh Yes...I'm buying this."  You have to see it to believe it but it's not for everyone.  We are on social media but nobody knows it.  Filmed Obscura: @FilmedObscura on TwitterJustin: @rustyman_51 on Twitter and IGChris:  @OldTerrifier on TwitterTheme song composed by artist Zagi2 courtesy of Freesound.org.  :)
