In this week's Notable People in History podcast, we’ll take a look at the life of Lise Meitner, the Austrian-Swedish physicist credited with the discovery of nuclear fission. On August 7, 1945, she received a call from a reporter with a Swedish newspaper. He would tell her that the first uranium bomb had been used over Hiroshima. A second would be dropped on Nagasaki.
