Ep. 22 - Little White Lies (& How They Keep Us Safe)

Today's conversation is a topic that we know all too well but rarely hear talked about. The dynamic of little white lies.In the last few years, I've come to notice how often I've used little white lies to protect myself from awkward conversations, sharing my needs in relationships and speaking my truth. The reason I'm bringing up this topic is not to shame us - there is no shame in this. It's to bring light to the fact that (clearly) we are uncomfortable sharing our truths, even with those that are closest to us. The scenarios we are working with today are the ones where we feel safe, loved, and open...Learning to compassionately catch ourselves in these little white lies (and challenging ourselves to share our truths) can help us to become more honest with ourselves and with each other.
