Ep. 228 - Catt Sadler on the Equal Pay Movement, Collaborative Parenting + Empowering Women

from Almost 30 · host Krista Williams & Lindsey Simcik

Today we are sitting down with Catt Sadler, the three-time Emmy-winning journalist, previous host on E!, and host of the podcast NAKED with Catt Sadler. We are incredibly inspired by Catt’s ability to be vulnerable and honest with us about her experience leaving the E! network to stand up for equal pay in December of 2017. Catt is a powerful voice for women, and has inspired so many to stand up for what they deserve. In this episode we delve into the struggles of being a woman in show business—the outer forces at play, how crucial it is to know your worth, and how to feel safe in your own skin when you’re in the spotlight. We also discuss what parenting is like in today’s digital age, especially with teenagers. Catt shares with us her experience with collaborative parenting after divorce, and how being a child of divorce directly affects her parenting style. This truly showcases the importance of consuming meaningful information, empowering one another, and trusting your inner knowing.    We also talk about: What parenting is like in today’s digital age (especially with teens!) Cultivating a positive self-image when you’re in the spotlight Staying true to yourself in the entertainment industry What it means to stand in your truth How Catt uses her platform to make a difference for women, at the risk of being blacklisted The women who stood with Catt during her departure with E!   Find more to love at almost30podcast.com!   Resources: Learn more: thecattwalk.com Instagram: @iamcattsadler ; @theCATTWALK Youtube: Catt Sadler Listen: NAKED with Catt Sadler   Upcoming Events: Almost 30 Retreat   Sponsors: Skinny Dipped | Use code ALMOST30 for 20% off at skinnydipped.com Dermalogica | Use code ALMOST30 for 20% off at dermalogica.com Simple Contacts | Use code ALMOST30 to save $20 at simplecontacts.com/almost30 Silver Fern | Use code ALMOST30 for 20% off your first order at silverfernbrand.com Sanctuary World | sanctuaryworld.co or in app store Sanctuary Astrology   Almost 30 is edited by Crate Media This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Chartable - https://chartable.com/privacy Chartable - https://chartable.com/privacy Podsights - https://podsights.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
