Hi, I’m Gabriela Houston! I'm a writer and author of Slavic-folklore-inspired novels. Welcome to my channel where we discuss storytelling in all its forms! It’s my belief that storytelling is an intrinsic part of everyone’s life as well as an important part of many professions. It really helps the channel!Today for something different, I have invited two authors known for using mythology and folklore in their writing: Shauna Lawless and Ronnie(RR)VirdiR.R. Virdi is an American urban fantasyauthor. Two of his novels have been nominated for a Dragon Award: Grave Measures in 2016 and Dangerous Ways in 2017. His novelette, "Messenger" (co-authored with Yudhanjaya Wijeratne), was nominated for a Nebula Award in 2019.You can learn more about his writing here: https://www.rrvirdi.comShauna Lawless is an author and lover of magical, historical fantasy fiction. Inspired by her childhood passion for Irish history and mythology, she has spent the last six years learning the craft of writing, and obsessing about Irish myths, famous druids and warriors, and Irish traditions. The Children of Gods and Fighting Men, her first novel in The Gael Song Trilogy, was published by Head of Zeus in 2022. The second instalment, The Words of Kings and Prophets, was released in Autumn 2023.
