You can create a home that makes you happier starting today! Many of these tips are really easy to incorporate and are immediate mood lifters too! DeclutterThis is the best time of year to really dig into the clutter that causes stress! Decluttering will improve your mental health and mood.  Clutter can be messy and chaotic, which can make it difficult to focus and concentrate. Decluttering will help to make you feel more calm and in control of your surroundings  It will also make you feel that you have accomplished something which is a mood lifter! Decluttering promotes creativity, improves sleep quality, and prevent unhealthy behaviors like overeating and overspending. Add PlantsPlants improve air quality, increase productivity, and will enhance your mood. They also create a sense of calm and help you to focus and relax. Studies have also shown that plants can also lower your blood pressure and heart rate. They add to the overall aesthetics of a space in addition to helping with absorbing sound too.Create a calming spaceFind an area in your home that can be your respite from the world, such as a reading nook, craft space, or bathroom spa. This will give you a place to rest and restore and will help you feel more at peace. Make memoriesAdd artwork from memorable trips, favorite family photos and items that give you glimmers of happy memories. Art and favorite sentimental items will  lift your mood and give you a personal connection and feeling of belonging which makes you feel at home.
