Ep. 23: Manufacturing numbers released for April, Walmart and Target earnings, U.S. may lift sanctions on Venezuela, Netflix is a dumpster fire right now

from Stock Market Observation · host Jacob Lee

U.S. manufacturing output rises in April. Walmart and Target have reported earnings for the quarter.  They are both showing how the U.S. consumer is spending money.  The U.S. is looking to Lift Sanctions on Venezuela and allow Chevron to talk to the country's state-owned oil company, PDVSA, but not to drill or export any petroleum of Venezuelan origin.  Finally, Netflix is laying off 150 people within the company.  This comes after Netflix said that people should leave the company if they are offended by the culture of the company.  Some people on Wall Street believe that Netflix is still a good company to invest in even though signs are showing that they are not.
