Ep 23 - Music School Didn't Teach Me This! The Business of Franchising Music, with Rob Hamilton pt 3

On today's episode of the show, I welcome back Rob Hamilton guitarist, co-founder of Side One, and as his email signature will tell you: CEO of Rocking, for this 3rd episode in our 4-episode mini series. We talk about the process of franchising Side One into other cities, a concept that is not often seen in the world of cover bands. Not only do we talk about the process of establishing the band in new cities, we also talk about the concept of ongoing management from a distance. Rob actually wrote a database app to create a hub for his musicians, his admin team, and his clients! We go on to talk about some very real issues with working on the road - from the logistics, to the realities of oxygen management when working at different altitudes.
