Ep. 231 Josh Pastner, Georgia Tech

from Coaching U Podcast with Coach Brendan Suhr · host Coaching U

This week Coach Brendan Suhr is joined by Josh Pastner, Head Coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Pastner has established the Yellow Jackets as one of the top defensive teams in the nation, while he and his staff have steadily improved the team’s offense to be ranked in the top half of the Atlantic Coast Conference the last two years. Those efforts, as well as improving efforts in recruiting, produced Georgia Tech’s first Atlantic Coast Conference Championship since 1993 and its first berth in the NCAA Tournament in 11 years in the 2020-21 season. In this episode, Coach Pastner shares his love for the game and why he knew at a very young age that he wanted to be a coach. He also shares many lessons he has learned throughout his coaching career at Arizona, Memphis and Georgia Tech, along with his offensive and defensive playing style and this influence his Dad, Hal Pastner, had on his life as well as the lives of many others.
