Why is the shit sandwich shitty? If you do not know, a shit sandwich is a technique of providing feedback when you give people two pieces of bread. It's an idea of couching the true feedback you want to give someone by giving them some complementary feedback, so they don't feel bad. Shit sandwich happens when you relate to what's happening, like a deficiency or something they need to fix. All of these fail not because of the technique but how you relate to the person, you must try a different approach.
