Ep 24 // Navigating Life’s Valleys - Finding Faith, Purpose, and Beauty in Tragedy

Why do things happen to us? Why does God allow things to happen to us? All of us at some point go through things in this life that will never make sense. And I think it’s often our response to these big, unexpected happenings that are completely out of our control that determine where we end up in this life. It’s pretty much guaranteed that we will all have times in our lives that we will need to rely on others more than ourselves and that we will need to live out our faith in ways that we never ever wanted to if it were up to us.   In these hard times, I am trying to cling to what I know to be true and focus on that…but it’s hard. It’s hard for all of us - no matter who you are … no matter what you are going through to do that…and that’s why this life requires so much faith. BUT it’s HARD. It is so evident…especially in times when there is nothing we can physically or mentally do to change our circumstances, that we find ourselves unable to do this life on our own. And we were never created to do it on our own. Each of our own circumstances proves that to be true every single day that we are given. But when these times come, where do we go? What do we do? How do we know that what we are doing is the right thing to be doing and walk in confidence and peace?
