Ep. 24 - Rolf Potts on Vagabonding and Travel Writing
from The Divergent Path with Rollie Peterkin · host Rollie Peterkin
Rolf Potts is a travel writer, author of four books, and host of the Deviate with Rolf Potts podcast. Rolf is a sort of philosopher when it comes to travel and his book Vagabonding is considered the Bible of travel literature. NYT Best Selling author Tim Ferriss has said Vagabonding was one of his all time favorite books. Vagabonding changed the trajectory of my life when I first read it back in 2014 and I can honestly say that my life would be completely different had I never discovered it. It provided a roadmap for the backpacking and long term traveling I would do for the next few years. Rolf's book Marco Polo Didn't Go There contains samples of his travel writing over the years and end notes which give a behind the scenes look at the pieces. Rolf is the author of The Geto Boys and Souvenir.
