Ep. 240: Voodoo Glow Skulls w/ Eddie Casillas

from This Was The Scene Podcast · host Mike Doyle

Voodoo Glow Skulls are an American ska punk band formed in 1988 in Riverside, California, by brothers Frank, Eddie, and Jorge Casillas and their longtime friend Jerry O'Neill. They first played at backyard parties and later at Spanky's Café in their hometown of Riverside, where they played shows with the Angry Samoans, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Firehose, Murphy's Law, and The Dickies. They put out releases on Dr. Strange, Epitaph, Victory, Smelvis and again on Dr. Strange Records.  I got Eddie on the Skype and this is what we chat about: Cinema Beer Nuts Getting fan mail Dr. Strange Records Bill Strange's book the band Public Humiliation Mike Park Getting on Epitaph Having anxiety Victory Records Shitty music The Hickey Story And a ton more Lastly I started doing whiteboard animations so if your marketing department has said recently "Hey, we need a whiteboard animation" then email me at [email protected].
