He began his military career as a reservist with 25/49 Royal Queensland Regiment in Brisbane before transferring to full-time service. He later served as a paratrooper with the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, deploying to the Solomon Islands.Mick then transferred to the Intelligence Corps, where he deployed to Timor and later completed two deployments to Afghanistan as part of the Special Operations Task Group, supporting combat operations conducted by the SASR and the 2nd Commando Regiment.In recent years, Mick has turned to comedy and now regularly features at stand-up comedy events.
