With England’s five Test cricket tour of India due to start on 25 January today’s show features a man who will be at heart of the action, the Barmy Army trumpeter Simon Finch. Simon, known as Finchy, became the official Barmy Army trumpeter in early 2020 though because of the pandemic didn’t make his match day debut until the summer of 2021 when England played New Zealand at Edgbaston.
