In 1519, Magellan left Spain sailing west 5 ships and 260 men in search of the Spice Islands. What followed was an adventure that can only be compared to a trip to the moon but without radio assistance from Houston. Adventure, mistrust, mutiny, death, and disease lurked around every corner.
