Ep. 25 - Loathsome High Speed Rail

from Tasting Anarchy Podcast · host Tasting Anarchy

Another Georgian from Jake, this time a white. From the Marani describes Kaketi. Not his favorite but a serviceable light wine made from Rkatsiteli grapes. Referencing Tasting Anarchy ep 20, Jake revisits the perplexing worldwide government and civilian love fest with high speed rail. The topic was brought about by an article in The Business Journal about a proposed high speed line between Houston and Dallas. The conversation wanders to wine production in northern England and southern Scotland during the middle ages and the government environmental industrial complex. Mason and Jake also spoke about Jeffrey Tucker and how due to internal bickering in libertarian circles and the left/right battle, many have sort of stopped paying attention to him. Jake brought up his recent appearance on Dave Rubin and a wonderful speech he gave called "Capitalism Is About Love" at the Acton Institute.  Jeffrey's  new book is available for free, as always, on Fee.  The book is "Right-Wing Collectivism: The Other Threat To Liberty". Look forward to a review when Jake has finished the book! Also discussed or mentioned: Contra Krugman Ep 155 Medieval Warm Period Warmer is Richer Mises: The Last Knight of Liberalism
