EP 252: Confirmation Bias

If you’ve spent much time on social media lately, you’ve seen an abundance of something called confirmation bias. One of many implicit biases that make up the ‘programming’ of our minds, confirmation bias is particularly effective in disrupting effective communication. The key to neutralizing the effect of implicit bias, and all the other biases that influence our experiences, is to make it explicit. And the key to doing this is to practice awareness and practice pausing.
