The symbolic meaning of the phoenix is about renewal. The phoenix is about overcoming darkness and rising to the challenge to become powerful and succeed. We are always in constant renewal with our lives and with our bodies. There is never a time when your body is not dying and recreating. Your stomach lining is brand new every 3-5 days. Your skin cells change over every 30 days. You have a brand new body (from a molecular viewpoint) every year (99.8%). But, when it comes to living our lives, sometimes we avoid going through the natural cycles of life. We avoid the death and resurrection of anew. Every time you learn something new or learn from an experience, a part of you dies and a new part is born. Neuroplasticity works in the same way.
