“Feeling a responsibility Representing a community that have never seen themselves on stage” what's the experience of creating theatre for minority groups?Tuyet Van Huynh and Tuyen Do the writer and producer of the first piece of Vietnamese theatre to be staged in the UK are joining Harriet, Emma and author Amanda Prowse to share the experience of realising Tuyen's story in theatre.Summer Rolls follows main character "Mai" over 20 years, the audience sees as she uses photography as a tool to portray her feelings of being a child of "dual identity as a second generation immigrant".Tuyen Do talks about finding the confidence to share this story, to write from her lived experience and find her own voice within theatre.
