Send us Fan MailOn this episode of Chino Y Chicano, we talk with Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, pediatrician, professor, and public health advocate who exposed the Flint, Michigan water crisis in 2014. She is also the author of What the Eyes Don't See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance, and Hope in an American City.  Dr. Mona’s revealed that children, mostly of color, were exposed to dangerous levels of lead after the city and state, in a money saving move, changed its treated water source from Lake Huron and the Detroit River to the untreated Flint River. This major public health crisis led to criminal charges that are still pending against former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, and others in his administration.
