This is one of the most personal episodes I've ever shared on the show.For years, I avoided long stretches of time with my family. I'd see my mom a few times a year, my sisters once a year, and my dad sometimes not at all. That distance was about needing space to heal from the environment I grew up in without constantly being pulled back into it.So when my dad suggested a week-long family vacation, I had a full year to think about whether I was actually ready. I set my boundaries right away, and I walked in with more preparation than I've ever had for something like this.This episode is my honest debrief of that week.
