Ep. 26: We Listen to the Radio

from The New Carp · host NotASouldier

After an extended weekend, we're back!  Here's this week's playlist: "Slave to the Grind" - Halestorm: An even harder rocking take than the Skid Row original. "Shooting Star" - Puddle of Mudd: An interesting Bad Company cover. "Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown" - Rob Zombie: The latest single from Rob Zombie!  This one took a little bit to grow on me, but the chorus is catchy. "Death Valley" - Fall Out Boy: Another great job of blending pop and rock into a new sort of dance rock sound. "Shakin' All Over" - Wanda Jackson: This song by the Queen of Rockabilly (and produced by Jack White) played over the closing credits of the movie Bridesmaids. "Everyday" - Fiona Apple & Jon Brion: A cute little Buddy Holly cover. "Don't Bring Me Down (Live)" - Electric Light Orchestra: This is my favorite song of theirs from their first ever live album! "Never Gonna Change" - SuperHeavy: A soft rock track from the supergroup featuring Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, and A.R. Rachman. Alrighty, don't forget you can now "Like" The New Carp on Facebook!  Get updates on new episodes and all of the new things happening at The New Carp.
