Ep 26. You die in the way that you lived

from Daughters of Diaspora

Salam friends! In this episode, we steered into a discussion about the blessed month of Ramadan and how we feel about it being so near. Our conversation starts with acknowledgment of recent news we have received regarding the deaths of people around us, and the sad reality that none of us are promised to witness another Ramadan. The bulk of our discussion circles around death and how we can prepare for it better as Muslims, especially as Ramadan approaches. In reflecting on our own observations, we share how we have seen truth in the saying that; “You die in the way in which you lived your life”, just from seeing how people we know in our lives have passed away. Furthermore, we discuss the importance of building sustainable habits not only during the blessed month but starting to build habits before and continuing them after. Ramadan is upon us! May we reach it in the best of state and faith.
