I’m excited to share this episode.🟫 RUNNING THE RACE OF PARENTHOOD:INSIGHTS FROM MY COACH& FELLOW PARENT | Dr. Jeff Messer and Bryan Ward | Ep. 262👉 Dr. Jeffrey Messer serves as an assistant professor in the School of Health Professions at Augustana University, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.👉 He holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in exercise physiology. His doctoral research program emphasized exercise biochemistry with a specific research focus in skeletal muscle mitochondrial bioenergetics.👉 Dr. Messer has published research in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise (MSSE), The American Journal of Physiology (AJP), and The Journal of Applied Physiology(JAP).👉 From 2006 – 2012, Dr. Messer served as co-head coach for cross-country and assistant coach (distance) for track-&-field at Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona.👉 The Xavier College Preparatory cross-country program earned six consecutive (2007 – 2012) Arizona high school girls’ state cross-country championships.👉 In February 2013, Dr. Messer began to serve as head coach for girls’ cross-country and assistant coach (girls’ distance) for track-&-field at Desert Vista High School, Phoenix, Arizona.👉 Currently, Dr. Messer focuses his coaching endeavor through the online coaching platform, Run Doyen.👉 The ongoing Run Doyen affiliation offers the opportunity to coach a broadclientele of both domestic and international runners who aspire to enhance fitness, achieve occupational requirements, accomplish diverse competitive goals, and, most importantly, enjoy the pursuit of healthful, lifestyle-enhancing running.👉 If you are interested in enhancing your running skills or are considering starting to run, please make sure to sign up for Dr. Messed to train you.
