EP 268: How Do You Know When You're Stressed?

from Showing Up To Life · host Art Burns

One of the greatest challenges to reducing, or even avoiding, the stress response in our bodies is recognizing the stress response in our bodies. Most people think the sensations, emotions, and thoughts associated with the stress response are normal. But when people come to understand how normal is supposed to feel, they are quite pleasantly surprised. The key to getting back to the true normal is to be aware of our sensations, thoughts, and emotions on a deeper level. And that’s where I come in. 🤗 Through very simple, attainable practices - we’re talking a few minutes a day - you can deepen your awareness to see the stress response at a point when it’s easy to avoid. Doing this could change the trajectory of your career, your relationship with your kids, and your marriage. I know this because that’s what it’s done for me. Interested in learning more?
