Welsh actor Sian Reese-Williams is probably best known for playing Detective Inspector Cadi John in Hidden, a bilingual crime drama for BBC Wales and BBC Four which ran for three very successful series. She played the role of Gennie Walker in Emmerdale from 2008-13. In 2016, she featured in series 3 of the critically acclaimed Welsh crime drama Hinterland and in 2017, she starred in series 3 of the BAFTA award-winning 35 Diwrnod for S4C. Sian was nominated for Best newcomer at the Inside Soap awards and the National Television awards, and best actress at the British soap awards.
