Welcome to episode 27 of Trail Running Ireland. The show is hosted by Eoin Flynn, UTMB Finish Line Race Announcer and 10 times Irish International Mountain Runner. Firstly a shout out to Joe O´Leary and Kevin Leahy who have just completed what has been described as the longest hardest high level route in Ireland, "The Iveragh Traverse". Kevin and Joe ran for 22 hours, facing all the elements nature could throw at them, sunburn and windchill, over 47 summits, 85km and 7,500m overall ascent.
