After spending the Winter at Port St Julian, the Armada continues south to the Strait. After the loss of (another!) ship within the Strait itself, the Armada travels 7,000 miles to cross the Pacific, fighting starvation and scurvy along the way. Interactions with various peoples in the islands of the Pacific and hostile interactions with the pursuing Portuguese results in only one ship returning to Spain in the Fall of 1522.
