Ep. 27- Ali's Story

Becky and Autumn sit down with Ali to share her story. A lover of going to concerts and doing yardwork, Ali shares how her relationship with the Lord has been strengthened during her journey through betrayal trauma and her divorce. She talks about how, after learning of her husband's sex addiction ten years into their marriage, she felt both a great desire to lean on God and a great sense of anger with Him. Ali discusses how finding a good, specialized therapist and the relationships she developed with other women in her twelve step meetings were instrumental in her ability to begin healing through her divorce. After attending the Heart of a Woman retreat, Ali realized she could hand her whole self over to the Lord. Ali says, "He has been the source of healing for me…He takes the ashes of our life and finds beauty."   Isaiah 61:3
