And now it's time for a brand new episode of Cheap Show, the economy comedy podcast with me, your host Paul Ganon. Joining me this week is my favorite friend in the whole wide world, why his name is Eli Silverman. Hello everybody, I'm Eli Silverman, yet Paul just before we get into the main subject of the show right now with another Paul, episode. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, episode.
Right, I'm up for that Paul. For all the mistakes that were made last week, I wanted to do it with oof episodes. I just wanted to bring that up. I just wanted to bring that up, mistakes from last week, okay.
It's not that we can move on. Paul, no, this needs to be said. It's the end of the book. I need to address this.
Paul Ganon, man. You are the Paul Ganon, man. But I need to address this. I've had a lot of communications from a lot of fans, a lot of people.
Just name one or two. John Smith is man. Oh, the most generic name you could also fucking air. Clear Rutledge.
Clear Smith. There was a clear Rutledge. Amanda Pie. Who else?
John Dot. No, why would they call the Dot slap? Come on, come on, Sarah. You can't, those are, you're such an idiot, man.
You just tried to call it. Alexander Graban? You tried to think of a fucking generic name. You said John Dot.
That's not a generic slap, you said. That's like the opposite of a generic name. Since the Epis. No, that's a piss.
It's not a fucking. I'll tell you the people with a surname, great surname of piss. Sometimes it's not a fact, right? Picking in touch.
You didn't voice the betweens from last week. And you're not getting. And that is a fucking, what? You are never getting.
I'll go even further, mate. You want shock? You want shock? I'm never giving you a between.
Again. Well, I don't know if you agree with them. You're talking about the end of the podcast now. The voicing of the betweens is a one solidity.
The Pisolings will be replaced with a pop. A pop pop. I can't believe what I'm hearing. Also, if you get it on the nose, pop pop.
You know, it's just 95 lead away. A pop. Are you refusing to voice the betweens? I am refusing to voice the betweens.
The seven betweens? Yes. The seven and you're going to apologize for your abuse. I never do anything to...
I i FEK Bond numb. milk. presenter. Those little donuts.
I was intro this but not always presence. I've had a few people get in touch with me and saying what I should bang off over honey. Oh, I know. No, no, no, it was no.
What are they saying? They want to see people are very concerned about the bears you have in your possession that you treat poorly and abusefully, abusefully, abusefully. Paul, are you refusing to give me the betwings or apologize to honey? I didn't do anything to pointy.
I, if anything, I, you will voice those between people saying to me, I should rescue honey from this house and point next to and take them to some kind of place of safety, a safety place, right? Are you refusing to voice the between? Are you refusing to, are you refusing to tell me to compromise? All right, Paul, compromise.
I have a compromise. Yeah. Yeah. Will you allow me about a minute's mouth improvisation on the theme, on the theme of the words chodney and or borrow and and borrow.
And, and or you get both. You have 30 seconds to give me a chodney bar off symphony starting now. Oh, oh, shoulders. Oh, oh, shoulders.
Where am I? Oh, oh, shoulders. Before I will say again, I'm glad you find this amusing. George, on s'morado.
Ordinary. Thank fuck. That eddy. Before he goes out because that's all going in the bin.
No! No. I hate you. And a fucking noodle posse.
Oh, gosh. You're going to have to learn the fucking insects. Chee show. Chee show.
It's a price of shit. Oh, gannon. He likes it all the time. And a guy with a nuzzle.
I don't see why I should continue here. His name is Eli. He has a teddy. And when he's all uploaded, I, he covers it and something delightful.
It is creamy. It comes with his tummars. And when he runs his little egg, he doesn't know. He's dribbled down his leg.
His CP goo. He comes out. His teddy rubs him off. He's in his socks.
He is Eli. He likes Ilva Man. He's full of Chardonnay Bar off. Stan O'Minky.
I've lost all in interest. In my own improvisation. In your own fucking box. What is this?
What happens? I'll stop right now. Good. This is what happens.
You do lose interest. When you, when you forsake tradition, when you forsake the built up tradition and the practices of the podcast. What is voicing the between? I've realized.
I've realized. I've had it more. Fuck your edit. I can edit.
I can edit. I can edit. God. Don't.
Don't. You abusive man. I'm just getting sick of you. Fucking hell.
I don't spark on teddies. You do. One thing. I'm going to bring a black light next week.
Fine. All my spark is very much cleaned up. Along with my whole junk which I wash daily. Sometimes twice.
In lots of soap and nice hot super hot stuff. Yeah, you watch it a lot. We've got no music. What have we got coming up on the show today?
On Cheap Show we are going back to the platters where we'll be looking for some very interesting novelty records of notes. And also, Eli wants to get some crisps out the way so he's happy. Hey. What an exciting time.
I'm going to do a little bit of shop work. Shop work. How's he been? How's he been?
How's he been? Shop work. You got the shop in the garage. You did some metal work.
You fantasized about being an odd job man. You rather be somebody just restores old clocks. Tables. No, you know what I mean?
No, no, no. Just fucking give it up. Bring out a fucking other house. It will voice the betweens that I'm missing.
I won't fucking abuse my teddy bears accusing me of it. You do your own abuse. That's like me about spanking on honey. You will notice I've got my two fingers in honey's holes.
I mean ear holes. Yeah, yeah. Here we go. Honey doesn't hear your abuse.
We don't know who knows. I'm the only safe space that they're allowed. We was a chardonnay, a chardonnay bore of. He was a teddy.
And now he's covered in Eli's gooey dirty size. Oh, that's why I wanted a fucking bring up. Out of his tummies, you said. You just said I spanked out by tummies.
Do you still believe ita spanks from the tummies? Yes. It doesn't come out your tummies. It does not come from the tummies.
It doesn't come from the tummies. And your tummies for come in. It's where the bull is where the wee wee is. You should get your fucking, you should have signed a bit more.
It's anyway, it's lemonade. It's 50-50 milky-dime. 50 milky-dime. Black clap.
Is it milk, milk, lemonade? Round the corner, chocolate's made. Put your finger in the hole, pull it, you've got a tootsie roll, whatever they want. What?
You Americans add that, they stick your finger in the hole, out it comes to tootsie roll. We're breaking through here. Out comes a tootsie roll out of what? My dick, your bum on.
Wait, you don't have a dick behind you. Sometimes I don't have to do that. They love my mustache. Right, Chris, lemonade round the corner, chocolate's made, put your finger in the hole, out comes a tootsie roll.
Out comes a tootsie roll out of your ass. No. What be the British version? Uh, finger of fudge.
Maybe. Out comes a finger of fudge. Yeah, cos what else will come out? Pick, make bar, lion bar, grifter.
I've had a few grifters rather than backing me. Right. We don't have some fun on this show. Give me the silver mint.
No, wait, seriously, before we get into that, I've got this out of the live show. I'm currently in talks full of live show. And if all goes well, we'll confirm it properly. But right now, we're looking like it could be in August, middle of August.
And we've planned the show out roughly. We think it's going to be a lot of fun. But if you want to come see us live in London, it's going to be August. As soon as we confirm the information, we'll put it out everywhere.
It's not going to confirm the date at this moment. Right now, just in case it changes between now and the next recording session. It will be August. And what I will say is if you are a Patreon supporter, you'll get a discount on the tickets and you'll also get early access by about a week before they go on sale nationally.
Working all out now, but that's the plan. I'm going to sell out the whole venue. Mate, we don't know. Do you?
Anything else? No, I think that's it. Yeah, live show. It'll be in London, Harrow Arts.
And just a little bit of digitiser. Little question form. Yeah. So you won't be voicing any between the seven?
Maybe I'll save them for the live show now. Well, they'll have an impact. I mean, I deserve them. You don't deserve anything.
Buying large. I don't deserve to live. I just don't say that. Whether you say anything is to live is one of things that included in anything, isn't it?
You're telling me. No, that's everything. Anything and everything is completely different. It's not.
You don't have to have anything, but you can't also have anything. No, you don't deserve anything. You can have everything. But you don't deserve anything.
You can't get yourself out of this. I can. You want me to die. You actually want me to die.
You just want to shame my bammo, shame my we-hole, and I want me to die. You just want me to come in here fucking fart on accident by accident. Shit. You come.
I would do what you to die now. Thanks. So anyway, you don't deserve anything or will you get anything, therefore you're having nothing. I don't want you to die.
I love you. I tell you what, Paul. Thanks for letting that. Got me.
I would like to see like Choke for a little bit. Oh, no. Just see. And then, you know what?
I'll be in that moment where do I save his life? Or do I just watch him blink out? I'll just stare over. I'm not going to go.
I'm not going to go. Make a decision. And I'll be like, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. Like, famous to go when he got a shot himself.
Did he? Oh, no. Yeah. So I checked out by the martial arts guy.
On a film set. Yeah. And then he shot his pants. And then he was another great story.
He had about Stevenson's legal as well. He was making a comment with the details of who said it, but it's on some thread. And someone saying he was just like being told what to do. And they just like rehearsing scenes, right?
He said, right. Someone said, we have to change the angles because this door goes out into the middle of the sea. Because they're on a boat or something. Continuity.
Yeah. And this door was where you'll come in. And they're explaining it to him. He goes, I don't give a fuck.
I don't care. I just go. So they said, actually, he worked. He went out and opened the door, mop straight into the sea.
Because he didn't rehearse. What a can't see it. A couple of quite interesting crisp flavors here for the emergence. Oh, you know what?
Let's just do this as a different segment. Fucking hell, mate. I've been building this up. You just put the US lens over, grab the back of the bridge.
I've been ruffling them all around. Well, then build it up now and then we'll come back to the bridge. This is after the break, everyone. No, no, no, no.
Fucking betweens are there. From now on, I don't say betweens. I say pop-pops. That is fucking shit.
And you're going to get feedback on that. From the whole of our listening audience. Yeah. Both of them will get into it.
It's what you're saying. I don't like pop-pop. And I was like, no, it's a podcast. It'll probably be betweens next week.
It's just something we're doing. I hope you don't drop this attitude about fucking betweens and voice them into betweens. No, I'm not going to mention those every day. No, it's going to happen.
No, it's going to happen. Give up behind. Next time we play Price of Strike. I'm just going to sprinkle those two in.
Oh, yes, I will. I will unfil my golden fucking wing of an out-wheel drop. All fresh and dew like the betweens. I'll pop the block.
Between between. And they'll get me and I'll push me over. When they come out the wing, that's when they pop pop out. Can we agree on that?
Now we're working. Pops are betweens. Chris, after the break, everyone. Oh, fuck, Chris.
In place, I'm trying to avoid crisps. It's the emergency crisps being served. Coming after the break. Crisps.
A couple of very interesting crisps for you on the emergency crisps insert segment of the show today. Oh, what a pub. Someone sent us these. These are good.
These are unusual flavours. I can't remember who sent these now. I apologise. My gut feeling says it's a vent, but I know a few boxes came on the same day.
And when I was doing all, you know, separate it all up, these crisps got lost in the fog. I got lost in some fog. Because I think the part of the Blackbird bag was Did you guff so hard that he obscured the crisps? They were fine mist.
Was there a brown mist of your ass? So fucking... Just thinking if you chokin out. Oh, fuck off.
Fuck off. That makes sense because these are... It looks like some kind of Germanic language. You see, it says...
It's like German to me. Yes, it could be. I don't know. Right.
Got two different flavours. These are Lorenz, which I think could be the world's second biggest crisp brand. I don't know anything about Lorenz. Shall I look it up on my phone of info?
Interesting thing. Please do. They're big. And I think they're competitors of Lays.
Yeah. Lorenz, you say? The Crisp. Lorenz.
OK, so it's an Austrian zoologist. He was born in... He got the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physiology. No, no, no.
No, no. Look up crisps. OK. So Conrad Lorenz, he's the founding father of the field of ethology that stood you animal behaviour.
Fucking, could you stop reading that out? Sorry, I really want Lorenz. Born out of Bologna, Italy and London, Lorenz clothing is a new menswear brand offering Bologna, Italy and London. What are you on about it?
It's what it says here on the internet. Can you just look up Lorenz? The food manufacturers, please. Lorenz, from Fire Emblem, for the three houses, a playable character in the Fire Emblem games.
I'm gonna fucking... I'm gonna do this. But he's June 13th. I'm gonna do it.
All right, I found it Lorenz snacks. Attention, this is new. We continue to write our story, find out more about what we're doing. Are brands that know about their values?
No, I don't want to know the history of the company goes to the Wikipedia page. No, don't. What they say. It's a family business.
Love, passion, love, love. What is a fucking family business? It's June's International Company. In Germany and our international locations, we proudly look back over.
I've been 30 years of experience. OK, there you go. You look them up on Wikipedia, please, and not their own website. Just looking for them.
I'm completely shilling. Shilling. What's the word? Shilling.
Shilling. Shilling for them. Shilling. Today, we are one of the leading producers of...
European snack market. Instead of resting on all laurels, we are keen to find answers to the questions of our age. Wait, you just made crisps. I think they make other foods as well.
Do you want to just take your phone call? I am actually muting it because I was... Oh, God. Some of the big people are Wickey, all right.
I will cut that for you. That's strange. Nothing. He's a founding father of the field of the anthology.
He's the lead animal lady. So no one is laughing at that. No one is laughing at that. Wait, the Ren snacks, Wickeys.
Here we go. Now we're... How big they are. How big they are compared to Lay's, or whatever.
So they're now called Lorenz Snackworld, German food company. Snackworld, based in New Eisenberg, found in 1999. That can't be right. It says 130 fucking years old.
Why someone fucking hammering a bottle? I saw one just kicking bottles around outside. No, they're hammering a posting. There's actually literally nothing on it.
Oh, wait, wait, wait. Oh, wait, wait. It says they were found in 1999, which I don't quite understand. No, it would have been.
Company history. The company is based in the Herman Balsen hierarchy, found in 1889. What the fuck are they on that side? It says they're hitting bottles.
No, they're not hitting bottles. Why does that take you on hitting a glass bottle? Just because it sounds like it. It doesn't think logically man.
Anyway, 1935, Herman Balsen's son, Klaus, introduced Slides Leton as the first German pretzel stick brand. The pretzels, yeah. In order to strengthen the diversity for slavery, snacks, paralysed, and confectionery, the group acquired Flesn Okei G, which I presume is another company, and they made potato chips in a factory. Ah, so they bought a potato chip factory.
They had been found in 1951 initially. Did crisps come later than pretzels? No, no. Since 1959.
Well, crisps invented. I think they were invented here. We went through that a few episodes ago. So it takes these fucking crisps now?
Yeah, the history is they've changed their logo. They still make crisps and effectively the same company. Effectively, since 1889. They were big, they were a big crisps manufacturer.
And I'm going to go now. It's a family business. The person who runs it has been running it apart the same family for four generations. Right, so they never sold, they never went public or whatever.
Oh, they make Palm sticks. Ah, look, do they make Palm birds as well? Yeah, I bet they make Palm bears. They're big.
They're big on the continent, man, in terms of snacking. We've got two flavours of Lorenz here. Yeah. Lorenz snack world crisps, sales volumes, five hundred and twenty eight million euros per year.
It's compared to ladies, I'm sure ladies are bigger than that. Ladies were not. Management, Holger Rothfach. I make, can you stop doing the research now, please?
It's really doing my head in. Yeah. And you know what else is doing my head in? The fucking guy banging bottles outside.
Anyway, so Lorenz is recognised as one of the founding fathers of Efology, the study of animal behaviour. I'll show you some animal behaviour. When I'm web-sling right on to your gobble. The whip?
Two flavours, they're in a range called natural. You think Spider-Man would do the flop first before the flip? Well, you've got a flop before your flop before your flip. The whip, drip, drop daddy.
Drip, drop daddy. He's coming down. He's coming into town. I kind of like the idea of drip, drop daddy being the coolest character.
We've ever had. But we can't talk about it. He's too cool. He's too cool.
You don't talk about drip, drop daddy. He's the first rule of drip, drop daddy. You clean up up the flip, drop daddy. Right.
These are in a range called Naturals. Oh, Naturals. Naturals, which is like, they're trying to sell it on a natural flavour, I guess. Yes.
But they have a whole different crisp flavour profile on the continent, don't they? They don't have, it's a very British thing. They're sort of the prawn cocktail salt vinegar. I'm even ready salted.
More of a British thing than elsewhere. They are because if you remember the etymology of that term, ready salted, is that the crisps that you're buying have already been salted in the process? Yes, because they used to get the packets of blue salt. Or not at all.
Yeah. Which I quite like, those low salt ones. Yeah, they're quite nice flavour. I don't have a nice potato flavour.
It comes through more than the salt. Yeah. You know what I mean? I do.
Now, these are in the natural's range. And these are two flavours, I've seen balsamic because I think kettle chips do a balsamic. They do and I really like that. You love that.
You know what I mean? He likes to do everyone. This is a little peek into Paul's world behind the meat curtain. Paul likes to put the kettle chip balsamic vinegar and sea salt flavour in his mouth.
And he sort of sucks it. He's just sucking a bit. And all the flavour off until it goes a bit mushy. It's not the usual way.
People don't usually eat crisps as if they were all swiss. No, but you know why he'd be like that. Right. He's not sucking a bit out of him.
Come on. Don't shout at him, Paul. Get it off, Paul. Don't shout at him.
I live here. He's going to tell the council. What? They'll take honey away.
They'll take honey away. There should be some services coming in to look after honey. Listen, stop procrastinating. We have to take these crisps.
He's doing it again. He's putting his big crowbar in. It's not coming up. I don't know if he knows how to work a man or.
He's just looking. He can't get any purchase. He can't get any purchase. He always makes coming out.
Oh, God. Look. Listen. Oh, my God.
That really loud. He's literally just mouthing the ground. Let's taste these crisps. Come on.
The noise of our mouths will drown it out. Let's taste these crisps. I've got a good mind going down there and say, you're ruining my podcast. I'm sorry, ladies.
The first of these Lorentz snack world, natural's range crisps. We'll be tasting this fucking show week by week is going further off the rails. It's the Balsamico flavour, which is I think Balsamic Vinegar. Yeah.
And there's a picture of some Balsamic Vinegar. Oh, thinking nice. Nice. A big pot of gravy.
It's vinegar there. Now, what are your views? I know we like the Balsamic flavoured kettle chips. Balsamic Vinegar has an actual food pie like it.
I like to have it. That winey sweet vinegar. You know what I like it on? You ever get like an avocado and you chop it in half and then you dribble a bit on it and some salt.
You just scoop it out. Nice. I love avocados as well. Yeah.
At the right moment. But Balsamic Vinegar are the pair of vegetables. It is expensive, but it's not prohibitively expensive. And it wasn't one of those foods like hummus was that we sort of all partial the yuppies eat it back in the day.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But isn't it funny how all those foods are like, oh, you snob, you ponk, you're eating like hummus, you ponk. Now has become completely sanded. It's in the same way as I don't know, like pasta.
Weirdly. How back would we wear with food here? Pasta was exotic. Yeah.
I'm not about excited my mongots to one day make spaghetti bolognese for the family. That's funny, isn't it? That's funny. That's funny.
That's one of those things that used to be sort of, ooh, they're all salmon. But now it's just so every day. I like it. And it's a wine-based vinegar, basically, isn't it?
Yeah, sweet, very sweet. It's very nice winey. It's thick and it's dark. And you can make a nice little salad dressing with it.
If you pour a little bit of olive oil in, a little bit of mugsamic and you mix it up with some salt. Simple. It's not going to be nice. You just crush a garlic.
Yeah. Ooh, that's garlic. I'm going to try and get a half-corn right. He's doing his half corner.
No. Okay, I'm just going to give it an open, but I'm going to try not to let any of this precious precious half-air out. On the first. Bring on the huff.
He's piping the huff. Into my nose holes. Bag piping the huff. I know it smells quite woody.
They are getting a lot of vinegar. I have a half a nose just for clarification. The first smell is the huff. When it comes to me.
A second hand, it's a snuff. Stop trying to nomenclature this, new year. So I knew you were going to do your episode old. I'm trying to mix things up with new terminology, edging you buzzwords for the hit generation coming to us.
Pop, pop, pop, pop, drop daddy, it's all coming out tonight. You know it's weird, if you're right it is more woody, it feels more. Why is that woody smell? I want to be the potato.
Yeah, I smell a lot of potato. It's a bit of balsamic, but I think that's what they're going to taste like. Not as tart as the kettle chip. Absolutely not.
I think this is what I'm interested in. Your comparison with these are the kettle ones. See what you think of these. And they're normal looking.
They're not like just normal. They're not stained with the balsamic. Here we go. Yeah, they're not as heavy with the flavour as the kettle chip ones, but I think I might prefer that.
That's quite nice, aren't they? Because you get the sweet tang of the balsamic at front. It melts away and needs a really nice, satisfying potato. Yeah, and it almost like a butternut.
There's a mumamri. Yeah, isn't there? It's sort of mouth feel. Nice, aren't they?
They're not like salt and vinegar, Chris, but it's all right. No. They're much sort of sweeter, more savory, more mummy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'll give that a B on the nose. Yeah, those are good. Those are better than I thought they would be. Much better.
I thought they could easily not work. Yeah, they're good. I mean, Lorenz, good company. The second and final Chris we'll be tasting today.
Yeah. Paul is the rosemary flavoured in the natural's range. I'm proud. I'm out of thrill.
I'm rosemary. On rosemary Lorenz, Chris. Bum bum bum bum. What are your thoughts on rosemary?
Yeah, but with her lamb, a rose lamb. I don't like eating lamb. I don't like eating lamb. The only reason is because I can't get over the image in my head of a Paul.
It's generally that simple. It makes me deeply excited. We all need to cut down on red meat and stuff. We're going to save the planet.
Yeah, I'm so fine. So you say that the taste of the smell of rosemary affects you. Oh, mutton. Oh, lamb is mutton.
You never get mutton flavoured crisps, do you? No. Because it sounds disgusting. Mutton's quite gamey.
Mutton's quite a strong flavour mutton, isn't it? I don't know. It's one of those weird words, isn't it? Mutton.
The word itself implies the smell and flavour. It's even fatty smell. It's like, oh, I went out with a guy last night. It's called mutton mutton mutton.
Well, you got to first base then with him. I mean, you got that dad of business. How did you know he's got to smell a mutton? Well, he was like, sorry, that's my cock.
No, he's like, you open this pan some across the room. This kind of green wavy haze came out. And I was like, mutton. I floated across.
Okay. Rosemary, so any other thoughts on the flavor of rosemary? I like her music. Irish singer, isn't it?
Fuck. Come on. Which part of my family would you like me to insert myself into? Pop up.
Pop up. Bop up. Bop up. Bop up.
Bop up. Bop up. Bop up. Bop up.
Bop up. Bop up. Bop up. Bop up.
You guys take a chip. I'll always take a chip over Five Guys. You know what, I mean, well, I'd have a fucking core pan of cheese and McDonald's over Five Guys. It's half the price and it's just as good basically anyway.
Fuck Five Guys. I wish I could, but I don't have the strength. Bop up. You know what you do have the strength for.
The passive strength. Just a take Five Guys or standing around you and coming in your mouth. You can do that. I mean, I'm just a one I'd like to be able to rotate.
I'd like to be able to rotate. I'd like to be able to rotate again. I'd like to be able to lead it. Oh!
Oh! Why? Why? Why?
