Gaslighting is a super popular term these days. The essence of it originally came from a 1944 American psychological thriller movie "Gaslight." The idea in this movie is that a woman marries her accompanist, and the husband slowly but surely starts to isolate her wife and convince her that she is crazy. In that way, the husband makes his wife doubt her own senses, and he can do whatever he wants to that woman. There are different forms of gaslighting.
