Donald Platt is the author of eight volumes of poetry, most recently Swansdown (Grid Books, 2022). His poems have appeared in many journals, including The New Republic, Nation, American Poetry Review, Paris Review, and Poetry, as well as in The Best American Poetry 2000, 2006, and 2015. He is a recipient of two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, three Pushcart Prizes, the Paumanok Poetry Prize, the “Discovery”/The Nation Prize, two Verna Emery Poetry Prizes, and the Center for Book Arts Chapbook Prize. He's been a professor in Purdue University’s English Department since 2000.
