He was the winner of Arc Poetry Magazine’s Poem of the Year Reader’s Choice Award for his poem, “Wounded Village.” His story, “Drone,” was recently published in F(r)iction magazine. Today, Matt is writing books and enjoying the Parisian Bohemia.Once I drove warships through fields of icebergs, and sent helicopters to rescue dying soldiers; it was always about the story. Since retiring from the military I’ve grown my hair long, written, hosted, workshopped, taught, performed, and organized poetry festivals in Canada, Afghanistan, China, Nicaragua, London, and Paris. My novel, DRONES, is forthcoming from TouchPoint Press.
