Ep. 28: Steven Raney on DSA, YDSA, and the Current Moment

Steven Raney returns to the podcast to discuss where things stand in DSA and YDSA around fighting the Constitution and demanding a democratic republic, DSA’s upcoming convention, student organising, what makes Marxist Unity group (MUG) unique, and how to think about the political moment. Steven Raney is a member of Marxist Unity Group, a caucus in Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). He is also a member of Young Democratic Socialists of America’s (YDSA) National Coordinating Committee (NCC). Steven was the author of R21: Winning the Battle for Democracy, which was voted on and passed at YDSA’s 2023 convention. R21 inspired similar resolutions, including ones passed by Cleveland DSA and San Diego DSA.
