In this special episode, Joey has the privilege of being joined by Mike Glavine, head coach for the Northeastern Huskies baseball program. They talk all-things Northeastern baseball, from the program's historic season last year, to Coach Glavine's playing days for the Huskies back in the 90s, excelling in the Cape Cod Baseball League and now having the honor of being the program's head coach. Coach Glavine became the head coach back in 2014 and has built the program into one of the most respected in the country. Coach Glavine talks about how important it is to recruit local talent, what he looks for when recruiting pitching, the value of playing small ball, and how important analytics and the transfer portal have become. Joey and Coach Glavine discuss Northeastern's strong defense and point out the grit that the 2022 team showed, from their weekend sweep of #8 NC State to battling adversity all year long. At the end, Coach Glavine speaks on 2024 MLB draft prospect Mike Sirota's drive, and he highlights some games he is looking forward to for this upcoming season, including their opening series against Arizona and their annual game against the Boston Red Sox.
