EP 287: The Danger of Insomnia (And What You Can Do About It)

from Showing Up To Life · host Art Burns

As we live with chronic stress, one of the more dangerous outcomes is how much we NORMALIZE the arising sensations. We normalize the fatigue, memory loss, our tendency toward illness, and the emotional reactivity that comes from chronic stress. We also normalize the INSOMNIA that comes from chronic stress. Between chronic stress and chronic insomnia (which have an undeniably causal relationship to each other), we barely give our bodies’ health or life’s prosperity a fighting chance! And, perhaps most dangerous of all, as we normalize all of this over years and years, they become deeply entrenched HABITS. And once this happens, change becomes more difficult. Does this sound like something you’d like to learn more about and perhaps learn how to change in your life?
