EP 29: Change Your Life with this Assessment
from Bourbon and Breakthroughs · host Chris Goodman
There are so many personality tests out there and it is hard to know which ones are reputable. In today’s jam-packed episode, Chris talks about the DiSC Assessment and how this behavior assessment has helped him in life and business by giving him insights into what makes people tick. We kick off with a brief history of the assessment before getting into the four quadrants of behavior, namely; dominance, influence, steadiness, and compliance. Chris unpacks the quadrants and the traits that someone who scores high in an area will display, along with their respective motivators and fears. It is vital to remember that the results are not judgments, so nothing is good or bad. Instead, it gives us an understanding of how we can communicate with people in a way that resonates with them. This is why it is so important to take the DiSC ourselves first and, then, in turn, show up for others in the best way possible. Chris also highlights some of the DiSC applications, including in relationships and the workplace. Remember, one assessment is never going to be the silver bullet.
