Let's take a look at the life of Archimedes… one of several great thinkers during the Hellenistic period. He’s credited with inventing the Archimedean screws, and the discovery of "Archimedes Principle,” which states that when an object is placed in a fluid, it is buoyed up by a force that is equal to the weight of the fluid is displaces.
