Ep.3: Steve and Cam Jordan
from Pass It Down Hosted by Steve Jordan, Michael Silver, Natalie Silver, Cam Jordan
Highlights include Cam’s assessment of where the Saints stand after he and other teammates confronted Drew Brees following the star quarterback’s comments about respecting the flag; Steve’s recounting of the time he and other Vikings teammates called out then-GM Mike Lynn for racist behavior in 1989; Cam’s hilarious and poignant recollections of the lessons his mother imparted to him about being black in America; Steve’s concern that the current outrage over police brutality and systemic racism might not be sustainable, and his comparison of the hard, unglamorous work that must now be done to “blocking and tackling”; and Cam’s admission that, if players don’t feel as though they’re being heard, a team or teams refusing to take the field in 2020 is an “intriguing” possibility.”
