Ep 30: If It Wasn't For Bad, I'd Be Good

from The New Carp · host NotASouldier

Here's this week's playlist: "If It Wasn't For Bad" - Elton John & Leon Russell: From an album they did together called "The Union". "Old Man" - Puddle of Mudd: Neil Young has been called the Godfather of Grunge, so it is only fitting that Puddle of Mudd gives us a grungey take on this Neil Young classic. "Livin' Thing (Live)" - Electric Light Orchestra: From their first-ever live album. "Dead Flowers" - Jerry Lee Lewis feat. Mick Jagger: Jagger helps out Jerry Lee on this Stones classic. "I Hold On" - Slash feat. Kid Rock: An "Only God Knows Why" style power ballad from Slash's first solo album. "Riders On The Storm" - Santana feat. Chester Bennington & Ray Manzarek: The Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek died last week.  This is one of his most recent recordings was this Doors cover he did with Santana and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. "Fire" - Bruce Springsteen: From Springsteen's "The Promise" album, this is a song he initially wrote during the "Darkness on the Edge of Town" sessions that became a hit for The Pointer Sisters.
