She had asked me for birth center recommendations and I immediately empowered her to do it at HOME! This birth story was so fun. I was so happy to help her welcome my adorable niece into the world. Kelly had the mental and physical strength of a warrior, but she also did alllllll the things I talk about. She napped, she ignored contractions, she was confident and excited about her birth with no fear. Her birth inspired me to look into really protecting that 3rd stage management (placenta delivery/"fundal massage") I always say each birth teaches me to be a better doula and this one showed me that the birth can be amazing and de railed very quickly.  Learning how to advocate for yourself from conception to breastfeeding is a true gift you can give yourself.  This mama was so great at just trusting her body and her baby.  Kelly is an incredible real estate agent here in the Austin area.
